John Kunzer, MD, MMM
Community Health Network executive vice president John Kunzer, MD, MMM, was named Community Physician Network (CPN) president in January 2018. Dr. Kunzer succeeded Ramarao Yeleti, MD, who was named Community Health Network chief physician executive in August 2017, and Robin Ledyard, MD, who served as CPN president in an interim capacity before being named Community Health Network chief medical officer in January 2018.
As CPN president, Dr. Kunzer is responsible for continued advancement of the two primary CPN board of directors’ goals of transforming physician culture and transforming patient care.
Dr. Kunzer came to Community in 2015 as senior vice president and physician executive for the network’s East region. Before joining Community, Dr. Kunzer served as CEO for Eskenazi Medical Group and chief medical officer for Eskenazi Health Center.
Dr. Kunzer completed medical school and his pediatric residency at Indiana University School of Medicine and also earned a Masters in Medical Management from Carnegie Mellon University. He is a certified physician executive from the Certifying Commission in Medical Management. Dr. Kunzer completed faculty development fellowships in primary care and underserved medicine and is a graduate of the Stanley K. Lacy Executive Leadership Series. He was also a member of the Indianapolis Business Journal's 2012 "Forty under 40” and serves on the board of directors for Fathers and Families Center.
He and his wife, Amanda, are the proud parents of Jack and Mikayla.
